A newly renovated 101 bed privately owned rehabilitation and nursing facility in Columbus, Ohio. We are a certified Medicare, Medicaid, Respite, Veterans, Insurance, and Private Pay Provider with a record of excellent care and an active member of the Ohio Health Care Association. Longterm Lodging, Inc. that has operated this facility since 1986, previously did business as WeCare Health Facility. In June of 2009, the name was changed to Abaco Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility to better reflect its focus on subacute care and skilled nursing with a tropical theme and focus on enjoyment of everyday life.

We chose the Abaco name to better symbolize our emphasis on what we do and how we do it. Whether we are serving patients discharging from the hospital, short-term respite stay, or longterm residents, we specialize in rehabilitative care, i.e., physical, occupational, language/speech pathology, and clinical management of conditions as well as restorative nursing in enabling patients/residents to maintain their highest level of independence and choice. The name also reflects our emphasis on feeling the difference when you walk in our door. Abaco is a group of islands near the Bahamas and we want those who live, visit, and work at our facility to enjoy experiencing their feeling of the tropics in our bright tropical décor, dress, demeanor, and fun activities as we strive to provide the highest quality resident care through an interdisciplinary focus on the residents' right to choice and individuality. All associated with the Abaco Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility will have an opportunity for meaning in their daily experience. We learn more and better respect each others traditions, relationships, and values when all participate in decisions that directly affect our lives.
